S I Sealy wins CIBSE Employer of the Year (Small Company)

Stockport based building services engineering consultancy has won the national accolade of CIBSE Employer of the Year (Small Company).

As part of the nomination process, S I Sealy demonstrated their commitment to developing young, aspiring engineers.  David Stafford, Director commented: “Since we were formed, almost 70 years ago, we have demonstrated our commitment to developing junior staff. All six of our senior management team joined the company as junior engineers, working their way up through the company.  In the last ten years we have supported 12 engineers to achieve formal professional and technical qualifications. This support is in terms of paying the course fees, as well as enabling the staff to study on a day release basis, and providing additional study leave.

In addition over the last three years we have recruited three apprentices, supporting them in learning whilst working.”
