S I Sealy Promotes Two Team Members
We are pleased to announce the promotion of two team members: Matthew Pickford has been promoted to Technical Director and Adam Counsell to Senior Electrical Design Engineer.
Our ethos at S I Sealy is to recruit young up-and-coming engineers who we can train and develop into highly skilled and experienced engineers. Matt and Adam embody this; and we are delighted to reward their hard work with their promotions.
Whilst studying at UMIST for his Building Services Degree, Matthew undertook his summer placement at S I Sealy. He impressed the senior team so much that we sponsored him in his final year, and he re-joined the Practice after he graduated in 2001. Matt is a qualified CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant and Low Carbon Energy Assessor; and heads up the Firm’s in-house Building & Energy Modelling Team. Over the last 18 years Matthew has been promoted through all grades, to his current position as Technical Director. In his spare time Matt is a leading member of Ashton Brass Band, where he plays the Euphonium & Baritone.
Adam joined S I Sealy in May 2014 as an Assistant Design Engineer and has quickly progressed, with this latest promotion making him a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. Adam is an expert in switchgear design and distribution networks, as well as providing bespoke lighting schemes for a diverse range of clients. Adam works across all sectors, and his recent projects include several for the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust; and the £50million Stoke PFI Extra Care Scheme. Adam is also a UEFA B qualified coach, and volunteers as a Coach at Curzon Ashton FC Academy.
