S I Sealy Appointed to SAFE Regeneration £33million #DestinationBootle Project
SAFE Regeneration and Construction Impact Framework (CIF) have appointed S I Sealy to provide Building Services Engineering Consultancy on behalf of the charitable developer SAFE Regeneration for its six-acre #DestinationBootle project. Other team members include: Architects, Ellis Williams; Structural Engineers, Clancy Consulting; and BCA Landscape Architects.
#DestinationBootle is the UK’s largest community-led neighbourhood development, transforming Bootle’s stretch of the Leeds-Liverpool canal into a vibrant, green live-work community. The Masterplan will provide a mixture of affordable homes for families, shared ownership and extra-care accommodation. It will also provide new work units, leisure facilities, an eatery, guest accommodation and canal discovery to create an area that appeals to local people and draws visitors.
S I Sealy will provide building services consultancy duties together with building & energy modelling for the Masterplan to help achieve the client’s aim of a 20% reduction of energy bills for residents. The development is being delivered in partnership with Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) and the Canals & Rivers Trust, with the support of Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Homes England and Power to Change.
