Flight Club, Leeds
Working directly for Flight Club, our team was appointed to deliver an early-stage feasibility study, detailed design and site monitoring duties for the MEP installation and fit-out of the new venue.
The venue is an iconic Grade II listed building in central Leeds which Flight Club occupies 15,890 sq ft of space on the basement, ground and first floors of the building and holds a total capacity of 400. It offers a unique dart experience with competitive and multiplayer games with 13 personal oches areas, also known as the toe line or throw line in which the dart player stands behind and two vibrant high-end bars providing food and drinks.
The first phase of the project was to conduct the feasibility study to identify the condition of the existing site, the feasibility to convert it into the proposed Flight Club, analyse any issues with the services and report on the additional costs these could concur on the project. We then provided the detailed design involving heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic water and draining services, mode lighting control systems, fire and lighting control systems, data small power, AV and sound systems and the coordination of Heineken and coke python routes.
The venue utilises CAT 6 structured cabling to process the high level of data needed for the gaming areas. Specialised oche wiring is utilised, which allows the darts vision system and high-speed cameras to track the location of each dart. Carbon filters, ESP filters, and UV light were installed in the kitchen supply and extract ductwork, allowing the extract system to remove pollutants and odours from the extracted air.
