Act Now! Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme due to close in January
Applications are still open for the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) which is being delivered by Salix on behalf of The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). But you need to act quickly; applications close for all eligible bodies at midnight on Monday the 11th of January!
The Grant Scheme will offer £1bn of grant funding which aligns with BEIS’ new mission and priorities: fighting coronavirus, backing business, unleashing innovation and tackling climate change. The scheme will also encourage green investment, supporting the Government’s net-zero and clean growth goals.
The scheme will be available for capital energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation projects within public sector non-domestic buildings, including central government departments and non-departmental public bodies in England only, and will deliver the following objectives:
- Deliver stimulus to the energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation sectors, supporting jobs.
- Deliver significant carbon savings within the public sector.
The scheme allows public sector bodies (PSBs) including eligible central government departments and their non-departmental public bodies in England only to apply for a grant to finance up to 100% of the costs of capital energy-saving projects that meet the scheme criteria.
How can we help?
S I Sealy can assist with the application process by providing initial surveys and calculations to identify improvements to both the building fabric and building services that produce viable carbon emission reductions and a return on investment. Once the grant has been approved, we can provide services in detailed design and monitoring the installation of the works to achieve the energy efficiency goals set.
We are currently helping a number of Public Sector bodies apply for these grants, contact us now to see how we can help you.
