Hyndburn Borough Council secures Levelling Up Fund for the regeneration of Accrington Town Centre
Our team, alongside AEW Architects, MAC Construction Consultants and Bradshaw Advisory, have successfully supported Hyndburn Borough Council in securing £20 million in funding from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund for the regeneration of Accrington town centre.
As part of the wider consultancy team, we helped the Council develop a long-term vision and strategic investment plan for the town centre and provided detailed engineering design and cost estimates for the proposed renovations and refurbishments to three projects.
The two projects are: Accrington Market Hall and Burton’s Chambers. The Market Hall will be refurbished and transformed into a food and drink destination for local people – targeted at enticing the next generation and a new audience to the town. The Art Deco Burton’s Chambers, opposite the Town Hall, will be restored to become a co-working space for businesses and events.
