Orientation Optimisation Studies
At the early stages of design, our building physics team can produce a study that analysis the proposed massing of a building in relation to its site and surroundings. Through sunlight and wind incidence, building orientation directly affects parameters such as:
- Internal comfort conditions
- Daylight provision and Glare risk
- Heating and cooling loads
- Renewable generation potential
Our Orientation Optimisation study will look at how the proposed floor plans, fenestration and building shape fit into the context of the site and iteratively model the build to assess which orientation is most beneficial for the proposed building and site.
