Amblecote Gardens, Salford

This new-build extra care scheme, completed in 2015, comprises of 66 stylish apartments designed for independent living, in the heart of the new Amblecote Green community.  The modern development provides 44 one-bedroom apartments and 22 two-bedroom apartments, all designed to offer the very latest in high quality modern, convenient living for individuals and couples alike. The communal facilities include a lounge, restaurant, laundry, guest facilities, garden, activities room, hairdressing salon.

Originally we were invited to assist the client in this, their first new-build extra care development, and act on behalf of the contractor, Bardsley Construction, as their technical arm to produce a design brief.  Due to our extensive knowledge, the client decided to employ S I Sealy to provide a full design service.

The Scheme received the Inside Housing Award: Extracare Development of the Year.
