Hoylake Cottage, Wirral

Working with the architect Warburton Associates, we provided the mechanical and electrical engineering designs for a 62 bed new-build care home with en-suite shower facilities. Twenty-two of the rooms are registered for people suffering with dementia. This nursing home was built to replace a Victorian nursing home which was no longer fit for purpose. The Victorian nursing home was kept fully operational whilst the new home was being built.

As much natural light as possible was incorporated into the building by using all the light from the glazed curtain walling and with the introduction of glazed internal screens transferring the light from these areas to the circulation spaces.
