Nethergate Academy, Nottingham

Premier Modular commissioned us to deliver the RIBA Stage 2 MEP concept design for this off-site SEND School in Nottingham.

Our team developed the initial mechanical and electrical design, which included proposed ventilation solutions, heating systems, domestic water services, lighting and security systems and energy efficiency solutions.

Nottingham City Council was keen to utilise off-site solutions for this development to reduce noise and disruption to the children and staff at the Academy during the construction phase. The building was also fast-tracked to secure completion for the start of the new academic year.

The new School provides 48 new SEND places to meet the rising demand. The facilities include classrooms for key stages 1 to 4, group therapy rooms, occupational therapy, staff rooms, a multi-purpose dining hall, a food technology room, and an indoor sports area.
