Poppyfields, Wirral

The scheme is to provide a large new build facility consisting of 60 one bedroom and 18 two-bedroom apartments, on the site of a former residential care facility. The development comprises of a large bistro, hair salon and well-being suite which will be open to the public, communal areas to support the facility including a catering kitchen and dining area, residential lounges, scooter services, assisted bathing, communal WCs and staff office facilities. The apartments will have 24-hour care and support on site to enable its residents to live independently, with many of its homes being wheelchair accessible.

We developed the M&E servicing strategy brief with the design utilising gas boilers as the primary heating system.  Each apartment will have a Heat Interface Unit (HIU) connected to the primary heating main to provide the heating and domestic hot water requirements. Our team oversaw the design and build of this new development which was completed in July 2021.
