This new building is a 1,200m² open-plan headquarters office for TATA Chemicals Europe in Winnington.  S I Sealy provided the concept design and sustainability advice at pre-planning stage to assist the developer, Pochin Developments Ltd, in obtaining planning permission.

To reduce the carbon footprint, the client was keen to utilise process waste heat.  This source of energy provides space heating and domestic hot water.  Summertime over-heating is controlled by the use of air source heat pumps.
