S I Sealy assisted Trafford Council in assessing the mechanical and electrical proposals of the two preferred bidders for this major redevelopment programme to refurbish Trafford Town Hall.
The project was awarded to Sheppard Developments/Sheppard Construction.
The project was designed to BREEAM “Excellent” and was EPC “B” rated. This was largely due to the use of an aquifer to provide both heating and cooling via a heat pump. The project also included a rainwater recovery system, solar electricity generation via photovoltaics, natural/mixed mode ventilation with a combination of manual and automatic windows and active chilled beam cooling.
S I Sealy was retained by Trafford Council and oversaw the works up to practical completion.
