S I Sealy Designing New School in Oldham for Autistic Children
Stockport based building services engineering firm, S I Sealy is providing the mechanical and electrical engineering designs for a special school in Oldham which will have state-of-the-art facilities for pupils with autism.
The £6.25million project, which is being built by contractors Extraspace Solutions, is expected to open in September 2015. The school will stand on the site of the former Kaskenmoor School in Hollinwood.
The new building will provide the right educational environment for 140 autistic-spectrum pupils aged four to 19. It will feature a sports hall, which will be used by the local community outside school hours; and a training centre to help students find employment after leaving school.
