S I Sealy Promotes Five Team Members
We are delighted to announce the promotion of 5 of our staff members.
Following a year of sustained growth, we have strengthened our management team, promoting five of our 33 staff members to new roles to enable the business to continue to serve our growing client base whilst maintaining our high levels of quality service.
The individuals promoted are Mike Robinson to Associate Electrical Engineer, Dean Simpson to Principal Electrical Engineer, Chris Barlow to Principal Mechanical Engineer, Dmitri Korolenko to Lead Building Physics and Sustainability Engineer and Jose Fernandez-Hickman to Mechanical Engineer.
With over 35 years of electrical engineering experience, all gained whilst working at S I Sealy, Mike has been promoted to Associate Engineer. Mike will continue to work on a broad range of projects, whilst mentoring other team members.
Dean joined S I Sealy as an Assistant Engineer in 2007 and has been promoted to Principal Engineer. During his time at S I Sealy, the Practice has supported Dean in achieving a Building Services Engineering Degree with Honours and he has worked on a number of prestigious schemes, including the Co-operative Headquarters in Manchester City Centre.
Chris joined S I Sealy in 2014 and has delivered complex mechanical designs for a significant number of healthcare projects. Chris, who has been promoted to Principal Engineer, will continue to support key clients such as Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
Dmitri, a CIBSE Accredited Low Carbon Consultant and Energy Assessor, is the driving force behind the Building & Energy Modelling Team. His promotion to Lead Building Physics and Sustainability Engineer will see him take a new role in leading our ambition to be the pre-eminent Net Zero Carbon design consultants in the North West.
Jose joined S I Sealy in 2018 as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer; and since then, he has worked on projects across all sectors, and also completed his MSc in Building Services Engineering with Sustainable Energy; and is now promoted to the role of Mechanical Engineer.

“These promotions recognise the specific impact that Mike, Dean, Chris, Dmitri and Jose have particularly had on the development of our Practice and reflect their excellent work on a variety of complex and major projects that they are working on.”
