Project Update: Works are underway at Fairfield Hospital Emergency Department Expansion

The works for the expansion and reconfiguration of Fairfield Hospital Emergency Department have begun on-site. This extensive project is set to be completed in the next year, aiming to bring significant improvements to the facility.

The primary objective of these works is to enhance the flow of patients within the Emergency Department and facilitate a more efficient and streamlined experience. With this goal in mind, the refurbished area will incorporate state-of-the-art rapid assessment bays, two new assessment rooms, and a new waiting area, complete with a modern reception and triage room.

Our team has been appointed to oversee the detailed MEP design and construction for the project, which includes the integration of a new dedicated external roof plant. This purpose-built structure will house the advanced Air Handling Units, ensuring adequate ventilation and air circulation for the new department to create a comfortable environment for patients and staff, along with the newly designed state-of-the-art electrical systems tailored to meet the facility’s specific requirements.
